My Teacher
My heart is filled with joy that I am able to continually learn from, and be changed in, the light of my teacher, Yogarupa Rod Strkyer. An embodiment of courage and wisdom, I am so grateful be inspired and held within the arms of the Para Yoga tradition.
Through the practices of Para Yoga, I see more and more how Tantric practice creates people that are more loving and compassionate, more centred, more creative and more powerful. I love my teacher’s definition of Tantra as “the techniques that one uses to undo any and all limitation on the way to realize ultimate growth and freedom, as well as, success in the fastest way possible.” “The goal,” he says, “of ParaYoga, same as Tantra, is simply put, to thrive, to shine, to be the best you.”
Yogarupa says that the ultimate passion and driving motivation of Tantric visionaries was to enliven themselves so that every day could be profound, every experience sacred. Their primary goal was to merge the spiritual and the mundane – to recognize all life as “holy.”
